Meet Laura Verdier,
our Founder and CEO
Laura Verdier (Rongiconi) is an Environmental Engineer Expert.
She has a master degree in Geosciences from the Paris Sorbonne University Engineering School and speaks three languages (English, Spanish & French).
After her experience as Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young, she founded her own sustainability consulting firm in 2009.
She has worked for more than 15 years in Europe and internationally with major companies, public and international institutions on their environmental challenges.
She is an Environmental, Health and Safety top advisor for Tech companies as she has built long term relationship with Tech leaders like Google, who trust her expertise and have in-house team members outsourced from her consulting company.
She also acts as Environmental and Social expert for major international institutions like the Inter American Development Bank, based in Washington D.C. She is appointed as independent expert of banks complaint mechanisms: she carries out investigations and dispute resolution on environmental and social grievances of communities affected by the banks operations
In 2020, she was interviewed by the French Senate on contaminated land management. The Senate commission was investigating health and ecological problems linked to soil pollution on sites which have hosted industrial or mining activities.
Thereafter she published at Dunod, French leading scientific publisher, a book on soil contamination (link here) to point out european legal failures and to advocate for soil protection.
She is often invited as a guest speaker on TV shows (TF1, TV5, CNews) to analyze and speak about environmental issues. She also speaks frequently at conferences and is a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment.
